Greg, I have had 356 "d"s on my westy for several years, over 30 K miles. Edge wear was excessive, but can be attributed to bad ball joints and under inflation. They require much higher pressures that stock. The result is that the ride a little hard, but handle well on the highway. No major complaints. Just bought four new ones, could have gone to 40K miles maybe, but had a slow leak in one and was going to have to get it fixed, so I went ahead and bought 4 new ones from the tire rack.
