I use Go-Jo with orange oil and pumice.  The best thing is to use a
semi-stiff brush to clean around your nails and in the fingerprint & callous
cracks.  It makes the cleaners 10 times more effective.

Try moisturizing your hands before you head to the shop.  Get some clean oils
in there before your skin soaks up the dirty stuff.
