If you read the warnings printed on the automotive chemicals that you routinely use to clean brakes, carbs, engines, paints you'll find that everything is toxic. Persons that seldom use these chemicals are in very little danger of becoming toxified by their use. Persons using toxic chemicals on a daily basis eventually become toxified by using so many. As exemplified by BenT's recent postings you can see that the chemicals can cause brain damage. The toxic condition effects your olfactory centers and everything smells like fish. This condition will pass after a few weeks of not having contact with the chemicals. During the detoxificating period the person may loose their sense of humor, randomly purchase Vanagons or any other German made vehicle and wash their hands every ten minutes. As long as the grease is under your fingernails you'll still be toxic. The absence of the 'under the fingernail grease' is an indication that something on your Vanagon is going to break soon. This never ending cycle of off and on again toxic chemical use is well documented by Mr. Goodwrench.
