Bill, I was told that the color of the cap indicates what fluid is being used. Basic design of steering is the same for each but just unwise to mix one color from another so the cap is to tell you what happens to be in there. Of course the cap tells you nothing if you do not know what it means and put the different but not wrong fluid.
