Subject: Need some advice on how to work with 2nd gear brake band
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed
Hello there and thanks for taking the time to read my e mail. Ive got all
the seals i need im not replacing the circlip but ive heard about removing
the valve body if a small c clip breaks as you take off the larger circlip.
If it breaks (and im talking out of my ass cause ive never done this) can a
replacement c clip be fashioned at home maybe if not then will vw sell just
the c clip and not have to sell me the whole thing. Removing the valve body
does not sound like fun, im sure someone will say that its no big deal but i
think their cojones a re bigger than mine in this instance. Ive tried to
look in the archives for the elusive info that a very sracastic member says
he wrote all about once but my skills must be lesser than his cause ill be
fuckered cause i cant find it. Im about to be done on a 2 month head
job/mutiple repair oddesey and ive found all the other info that i could use
but not on this . thanks for your time Roe '89 wolfie
