<P>Its bleeds air out of the thermostat housing. What I don't understand is, couldn't you just loosen the hose that rises up from this housing to bleed it of air... (mine hose has been replaced and now has screwable hose clamps - which are a better replacement than reusing the original hose clamps - as long as its a hose clamp that is flat and doesn't have indentations that dig into the hose - which I haven't seen for sale anyways... though I had one installed somewhere that I was glad to replace)<BR><BR></P></DIV>
