Well Stan, you know what they say: Opinions are like
aholes, everyone has one. Judging from the many
conversions many people have an opinion that differs
with yours. I personally would never, ever drill a
hole in a window and attach a forward facing 3-4" PVC
elbow to said hole for ram-air a/c. You choose to, and
it suits your intended purpose and that's great. I
personally would like to be able to drive up a
mountain in relative comfort in my syncro westie
without getting a leg cramp (from trying to push the
accelerator pedal through the floor) and actually be
able keep up with traffic. The great thing about VW
vans is the great variety of intended purposes they
have. I purchased mine as a replacement for a jeep
with dual lockers and a winch because I couln't sleep
in it. Every vehicle is a compromise. I have the
ability to minimize that comprimise and get some
enjoyment from it then that is my choice. If I sell it
and take a loss then that is my loss, it's only money
and when I die I can't take it with me. Off my
soapbox.
Cheers
Ian
