Hi all Perusing through a Reid Tool catalog 1-800-253-0421 or www.reidtool.com. They have a kit to make o-rings, here is their description: "Eliminates the need for extensive o-ring inventories. Contains everything to make fast, on the spot o-rings of any size. . . . Contains cord, cord cutter, adhesive, and splicing fixture. . ." Part number is PER-80851. You can buy extra cord material in various sizes, the cost of the kit is $45.72. I thought this could come in pretty handy for an old vanagon (not to be confused with an old vanagon owner). They also sell a variety of metric bolt, nut, washer kits which have come in quite handy in my TDD conversion endeavors, and some pretty cool looking UL approved rubber "wrap and seal", part number SW-2. "Forms a strong rubber coating in minutes with no adhesive. . . Max holding pressure 100 psi." All this along with a bunch of industrial type hardware. Cheers Myron Lind 1982 TDD/5 speed Westy that finally runs (but now we have 10" of snow on the ground with more on the way!!) |
