Hi volks Before I go with my questions, remember, this is just an idea, and NO, I am not going to do anything like that... Got enough with my my pop-top transplant for this year. Somebody on the list already transplanted the whole drive train from a syncro to a 2wd van. So I know you can do it. Is there any pictures and procedures on the web of this crazy transplant? Just curious... Ok, here is my question... Can you install the syncro drive train on a 2wd vanagon with something like a "body lift kit", but just for the drive train. Something like 3-4 inches? The reason for this is to keep the 2wd gas tank on it's original location, and at the same time, to open the approching angle at the front. Also, this would reduce the transplant work by not dealing with gas tank transplant, and you could use the engine of your choice without modifying the engine deck cover. Got this idea from looking on David Marshall's web site fastforward.ca. He had a whole drive train removed from a van in Germany for sale. Not my fault! He's the one that gave me this crazy thinking! Any thoughts... Pedro dos Santos 91 vanagon + carat + poptop 85 ddcab project www.mononc-en-folie.com http://www.westfalia.be.tf/ __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
