I don' know who sent it or what - but I remember that they said that @ 4000 RPM - they where going 60 MPH - - I had to go to the Doc and on the way had about 15 miles of very light traffic and the freeway was dry- - at 60MPH I was running just under 3300RPM - At 70 - Just over 3900 RPM. This is in a 91 Westy with 215 x 70 x 14 and an automatic Trans.. Of course the actual speed of the van was more than was showing due to the increased Circumference - Negligible amount. In answer to Bro. Rodgers query about knee strain - I have found the automatic to be more than satisfactory - in MPG and convenience- it is also much stronger and more trouble free than the 4 speed--- --- Friday funny- Blonde has car trouble - tows to garage - tech works on it and all is well - In handing her the keys, she asked "what's the story" tech says"just crap in the carburetor" - She asked "so, how often do I need to do that?"
