I painted it to match the rest of the interior (brown). I can see under the a/c. Only problem is that it leaves a gap above the mirror now that the sun gets through at times. I have that blocked with a stick-on overtaking mirror which allows me to see if my hair needs attention and other equally vitally important things in the van.
