Hello all, I am hoping that someone can help me with a electrical issue. My dashlights for the instument cluster have gone out. I am pretty sure it is not as easy as a bulb, because it worked most of the time for awhile, and would just go out until I "bumped" the instument cluster with my hand. Now it is out all of the time. It did come back for a few minutes while I was driving into work the other day. It is strange, because when they go out it also causes the Tach not to funtion (it works ahen the lights are off), and it seems that the temp gauge runs hotter then the motor actually is when I turn the headlights out. The clock seems to work when the lights are on or off ( as long as the dimmer is turned all the way down ) I have changed the headlight switch, but not help. Can someone help me to narrow this down a bit? The only VW dealer around is 30 miles away and they are VERY expensive to troubleshoot a problem like this. Thanks in advance.
