12 Volt D.C fluorescent lighting is pretty common. Northern Arizona Wind & Sun has the Trim-Lite 12 Volt DC catalogue on-line here: http://www.windsun.com/Misc_AE/Thin-Lite.htm

Thin-Lite has a large variety, in fact, their model #171 is identical to the light found above the folding side table in the 85-87 Vanagon Camper, 87.5+ Wolfsburg Editions and Carats. It is currently priced at $23.75.

I use their model #172 in my camper, which is a dual bulb version of the same light, I paid around $30.00 for it. I reused my old switch and installed it on the face of the cover.

Thanks
