Subject:      Black sealant on aircooled heater parts

Hey folks,

From the factory, the aircooled vans have all the heaterboxes, flapper
valves, and associated metal tubes sealed at the joints with somekind of
black sealant that I assume must be high temperature resistant.  What is
this stuff, and Where can I get some?  Also, does anyone know of a
source for the pink rubber discs that go in the heater valves?  One of
mine has gone brittle and cracked.
