Subject: Propane Tank Woes - 1984 Westy
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi Volks, I think the propane tank on my Westy is finished or atleast I'm a little concerned about the integrity. We just bought our van about 4 months ago and I obviously did not look at the tank close enough. The tag has rusted through and the area underneath is pretty crusty, other than that, the rest of the tank just has surface rust. I'm interested in what you all think. Also, if I need a new tank , where can I get one in Canada? I see the Bus Depot has them reasonably priced, but the duty and exchange just kills it. Are there other parts I need bedside the tank and can these just be salvaged from the existing set-up? We're new to the list and I'd like to say that I think it's great! I've learned so much from everyone already. Thanks, Steve
