Subject: tranny rebuild for my "new" westy
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

hey all,

just limped home my '81 westy.... thanks to all for guidance and advice.

the tranny needs to be rebuilt and i am looking for a good reliable rebuild in the san francisco bay area, if anyone knows of a place.

also, the front end is squeaking like a rusty mattress. what would be the cause? the front end seems fine other than the constant squeaking.\

other than that, she's beautiful.

i also wanted to ask what is the best manual to have for work on my new westy. --does the muir manual apply to the '81 since the engines were the same as the '79?

thanks to all for continued support,

peace,

jeff
