I agree and would add that the Mercedes wheels already have a 66mm centerbore while the Audi/VW sedan wheels have a 57mm centerbore which will require machining to fit in 2WD applications. Some aftermarket wheels with the 112mm bolt pattern will have the larger counterbore in order to make them fit both vehicle models. Make sure you know the centerbore dimension before deciding any wheel purchase.

My BBS Mercedes wheels required only an enlargement of the lug holes and re-shaping of the lug seats from a 12mm ball to a 60 degree conical seat. More complete information is here: http://home.earthlink.net/~tjhannink/wheelsandtires.htm
