Stan,

Out of curiosity what would you recommend as a replacement for my 1991 Syncro Westfalia? I need it to be able to haul 5 people, go offroad, be unaffected by snow, sleep 4, make ommletts, allow me to stand up straight (6'3") while making said ommletts, move a laundry machine, and park in a standard parking space.

As far as I can see there are no replacements this side of $70,000. If at all.

But the one and only vehicle that meets my needs (Syncro Westfalia) has an engine that is underpowered and unreliable. I can't change vehicle since there is nothing out there like it. But I can switch engines:-) And then I have it all!

Cheers,

Cory
