I'm getting one installed now, so I can't give you any feedback just yet (email me in a couple of days if you're interested).

I'm told the "Stage 1" is really only an option if your transaxle is in reasonable shape and you have it rebuilt - aparently it is getting hard to find good used units now . . .

My old transaxle has 340000Km on it - I decided to go for the "Stage 2" at US$500 + shipping + US$250 core.

The "Vanagon add ..." doesn't seem to apply ???
