I'm not sure I have any capacity to take them to small claims court. At any rate, I've got a plan: 1. Bitch at the dealer (today/tonight, will keep you all posted) 2. Bitch at VWoA 3. Explore legal venues 4. Firebomb. I shall do the first two regardless (VWoA, if they care, may be able to more easily shape up a dealer here; as I recall, headquarters are in Troy.) My final recourse, while ideal, is probably limited in reality since I don't have any weaponry. :) I'm holding out hope for the dealer, though. There's a possibility that the charge was just a result of poor communication, since they have that ridiculous wrench/advisor/cashier departmental system. Still no excuse, but I'd be less pissed if it was easily-corrected bureaucratic bungling and not some form of deeper-running sleaze. ian Butler / ian@bluemoon.hplx.net '88 Scirocco 16v, '87 Syncro GL |
