I was considering changing one of my Syncros to a +24v electrical system. Many good reasons for this, but mostly problems like this would disappear, with a minimum of rewiring. All the light bulbs would simply changed to 24 volt. This means 1/2 the current in every wire. Problem solvent. In the near future we are going to see vehicles running higher voltages, IIRC it is something like 28 volts. This is for similar reasons. Things that need to change are dash board stuff, windshield wipper motor, engine control stuff. Things starting to get expensive then. So now I'm considering running only a portion of the Vanagon on 24v.....Just food for thought...
