Hi Lee, Water will cut the brake fluid, but you will need to pull the carpet, padding (sometimes called "jute" ). Pull it, and take everything to a coin-op car wash. Don't hold the gun to close, and clean away! Make sure you let it dry good, best way is to vacuum it, then let it hang over something like a fence, clothes line, etc. and your in business. Good luck.
