I made a day trip to Dallas yesterday to pick up a '90 Carat with 110k on the clock. It came with a fresh, quiet-running and leak-tight German-case motor, five alloy wheels, working R134 a/c, working pwr windows/locks, cruise, nice tint and a nearly immaculate 7-pass interior. Something went awry in the auto trans a couple weeks ago, and there's some body damage on the pass side (nothing major). I paid the owner $1000 and towed it home. So, now I have another van in the garage to work on! I'll make another post as to the specifics of the trans problems, but I saw the posts regarding Carat pricing and wanted to show they can be had fairly cheaply if you don't mind doing some work...
