Yes, those disks are there to indicate engine temperature problems. If you report a problem to AVP and they see that those disks are deformed or melted, no warranty. If they were melted AVP says the installation or setup was done improperly. There is nothing wrong with their engine. AVP says they couldn't stay in business if they didn't use those disks. Kind of a reminder that there are two parts to putting in a new engine; the quality of the rebuild and the quality of the installation and set-up. Tom Illinois 20k on AVP rebuild with intact disks. |
