I even had to remind them that the engine was in the back.
Thank you, Jeff Lincoln

Oh Darn! Jeff you take all the fun out of it.
My first oil change at 15 years old was a total disaster.
We had a 54 Pontiac straight 8 with an automatic tranny.
I just rolled under there and drained the oil into a big galvanized pan.
Poured my new oil in the engine and proudly started the car to go see my
sweetie.
The car didn't move.
I checked the oil and boy did it have a lot.
You guessed it; I drained the tranny.
It took some convincing to get another ten bucks out of my Dad to 'Go on
my Date' but I rode my bicycle to the service station about a mile away
and spent the money on 7 quarts of AT fluid and four quarts of oil.
My sweetie got short changed on her date that night because I had to add
some money with the $10.00 from dad to cover my butt and get the fluids
back right.
Now you keep that a secret and don't tell anybody.
Stan Wilder
