Last week, the 90 Carat started having a hard time idling when cold and this past weekend the problem changed to wanting to idle at just 2k RPM. Here's the pattern: - Start van cold - idle at 1100 (too high, I know but that's where it has been) - pull out into traffic and idle is at 2000/2100. - get up to 35-55 and come to the next light - idle at where ever the RPMs where while driving (3000+/-). Shifting down and letting off the clutch drags the engine and it returns to 2k The rest of the engine's performance is fine. Plenty of power, no bucking, no other strange things. A quick read on the Bentley points me toward the deceleration valve and idle cut-off switch. Am I headed in the right direction? john |
