A Toyota Sunraider would do it. They did a 4WD version. Make sure you get one with a 1-ton full-floating axle. They originally came with 3/4 ton axles that had an unfortunate tendancy to snap, causing the motorhome and one of the rear wheels to go seperate ways. They're reasonably powerful if you get a V-6 model. The 4 is every bit as underpowered as a Vanagon.
