I have my automatic transmission dead too. It didn't give any signs of dying. My mechanic says that it could be the transmission, torque converter or the differential, nothing is loose inside the transmission he already checked it, but he says that it could cost up to $2100CAN. Way too much money, since I had it rebuilt like 10k miles away.

I don't know much about auto transmissions. I've just had cars that squealed like power steering and the tranny guy said that the in the can fu fu will stop up filters and clog the torque converters.
