the 5 cyl looks tilted more than 5 degrees, but anyway, you can still use what ever mount you want, within reason, for the mount/carrier connection is made vertically.

The only thing that limits you in the mounts is the metal structure on the engine carrier and the fore and aft tubular carriers. The forces on the mount are still "up and down" whatever the angle of the engine block.

I think its agreed that the TiicO kit is not the last word on I4 engine installs, nor is it a VW designed "kit", so its not fair to draw conclusions from TiiCo installs as to what could be done in an I4 install.
