Hey guys,

Yesterday My brother took off all my belts, and we ran the engine up to the vibration zone. Today, at Matthew's suggestion, we took off all the belts, and ran it briefly up to the RPMs that had been giving me trouble, and no vibration!!!!!!!!! NO VIBRATIONS!!!!!!!!!! Yea!!!!!!!!! Anyway, I was very relieved that it was not the actual engine causing the problem. Some of you are familier with my nagging problems. Anyway, it has been vibrating something fierce for the last 5 months, with the last month being the worst. We kept loosing the bolts off the compressor. The compressor bracket was also twisting under the pull of the belts. The last straw happened when it left me on Hyw. 34 at 1:00am. The locktight held, but the vibrations snapped my new bolts. Broke the Compressor bracket in four places also! Yikes! I had it welded back together, and dropped it at my brother Steves shop where I wouldn't be tempted to drive it anymore! Matthew found a Jetta/Golf belt set up for me, and hopefully I can get it installed in the Rastafalia next weekend. We head to Florida in less than a month! We will also get to attend Everybus in NC on the fourth of April! We just happen to be driving by on the first night of the event, and will need a place to camp for the evening anyway. Fate is an interesting thing isn't it. : )
