I got what I thought was a hydro Jetta mount for my TDD install. It is simply rubber with a lot of holes in it. It's sort of "sealed" to the outside air, so maybe that dampens the action inside, I don't know. It has a plate near the bottom with two holes that mounts to the carrier bar (after modifying the bar) and one hole on the top that the motor mounts onto (after modifying the motor mount arm). Do all hydro mounts have oil, or can air be a fluid in this case as well?

As far as resonance, I have to finish hooking things up and do a bit more cleanup, but something (air box [without an intake resonator]) or intercooler piping, etc is rattling away around 50 mph. I wouldn't define it as a problem "yet". I am redoing the air intake to a larger diameter with two diesel resonators stuffed into the passenger side vent. Pretty tight, but I think it will work.

Frank, I went browsing at the partsbin for mounts.

Clear me up. I checked a couple of saab engine mounts, and they were priced at over $100

I check the mounts for golf/jetta 2.0 litter manual circa , 1998, they where only about $50 each,

It would make "simple" sense to a green guy like me that the hyrdo mounts for a jetta 2.0 might well be tuned for the 2.0 liter in the ticco kit. They also look as "mountable" as any.

What do I not know about these mounts?
