Subject: Auto trans removal ('90 Carat)
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

I need to go ahead and get started pulling the trans out of this van. I've had one suggestion that it may be easier to pull the motor and trans as a unit, but I'd like to avoid that if at all possible (I don't want to mess with coolant, A/C lines etc). Have any of you guys done this in your garage? The main issue seems to be unbolting the torque convertor; the Bentley manual shows a special attachment for loosening the three bolts. Where can I get this? Do I HAVE to have it? Since the torque convertor is the chief suspect in my troubles at this point, any additional information concerning its removal and replacement would be much appreciated. Should I just plan on having a shop do the work? Thanks in advance-

JJ Oklahoma City
