Scott,

I recall having problems with reverse with my old automatic in cold weather. I was told by a mechanic friend of mine that older seals were most likely cause of my problem since they become stiff don't conform and seal adequately when cold. The seals soften when they warm up and conform to provide the proper seal to develop sufficient pressure to operate the various AT clutches.

Make sure the rebuilders replaced all the seals and clutches!
