Things have changed around here, we now have 2" of sleet, 21 degrees, 12-18 mph winds and 1 degree chill factor. They're expecting another 2-3" before morning. Snow we can live with but sleet just turns into a sheet of ice. I'm out checking the freezer to see if I got the makings of a big pot of chili. The pup made it about 100 feet on her walk and retreated back to the house, taking her advise I came back inside too. This only happens about one week out of the year so I can't complain ......... they don't use salt on roads just play sand or similar small gravel / sand mix. Back in July 2002 I went to Albuquerque and caught some really cold desert air and a great tail wind about 3AM while crossing the mini mountains and my Westy just loved it ............... 75/80 mph, low oil temp, high oil pressure, low CHT. Air Cooled VW just love this cold weather, they just really purrrrrrrr! I must have a one a million because my Westy has good heat.
