Most quick-lube places are like that now.  The one I take my Honda to
tried to sell me two different kinds of oil flush and a fuel system
treatment, last time I was there.  I never buy any of that crap,
especially not the oil flushes.  (If there's crud sitting in obscure
corners of the engine, the *last* thing I want to do is get it circulating
around!)

I don't let them touch my Vanagon, but I do wonder what they'd think --
when I bring my Honda in they always make a big deal out of tsk-tsking
about how dark the oil is, and try to sell me the oil flush.  They'd
probably have a heart attack over the nearly opaque black oil that comes
out of the diesel. ;)
