"We didn't hit or touch anything else" Oh really? Well the speedo cable is connected to the front left wheel center cap. If the change happened after you messed with it, chances are good you knocked the cap off and its hanging by the cable. Otherwise this is a classic case of the speedo cable having been snagged on something from the road. Eric

I was about 15-20 minutes into the trip home, when I looking down and noticed the problems. The needle shakes and wobbles like crazy, and it doesn't register at the correct speed. For example normally when I'm in 4th gear, tach is a the 4 mark, that is 70mph. When that started happening though, it was saying I was doing like 55mph, and it was wobbling like it was blowing in the wind. Last night at school I had taken my wheels, calipers, and rotors off to re-pack my wheel bearings, everything went on again just fine. We didn't hit or touch anything else, so I didn't think that was the problem. The way it wobbles though, it almost seams as if something is loose. Does anyone know what is going on here? Is something loose? If so what should I tighten? > > thanx for the help, > > Tracy > > 85' GL "Ripple"
