you have to understand that he is here in the detroit area where if it is more than four years old the dealer only wants to see it if its a trade in. this is why i never started going to the repairs shops, because all my cars have been over four years old. :) if you want good service on a older volkswagen in the detroit area you could try Munk's Motors in waterford. i don't use them but i know they will do decent work on older vehicles and they a have a motorheads club.
