There would be few easy ways of doing this.

-  You can interrupt the #1 wire on the coil with a switch.
-  You can interrupt the wire going to the fuel pump.
-  You can interrupt the wire going to the 50 terminal on the starter.
-  Install a 1999 or later TDI motor and take the key with you!

Is there an easy way to wire in a kill switch to keep the Vanagon from
starting? (This would be as an anti-theft device.)

I recently drove a Porsche that had a button hidden under the carpet. Unless
the button was held down, the engine would not turn over.

Is such a switch a good theft blocker, or would a theif easily bypass such a
switch?
