Subject: Westy wind noise ?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

I have always found that I get quite a lot of noise from the pop-top/carrier on my '84 Westy at high speeds. I drove just a plain Vanagon the other day and apart from noise coming from the drivers and passengers small vent windows, it seemed to be much quieter.

I have replaced the rubber with Bus Depot one but it doesnt seem to seal well at all so I put some foam tape betweeen the rubber seal and the van roof, but its still noisy. Are there any tricks on reducing or eliminating wind noise from the carrier ?

thanks,

Steve Cotsford
