Pull the carpet out of the van and spray it with a
garden house for about 1/2 hour. There shouldn't be
any stain left, but if there is, sprinkle or pour some
laundry detergent on it, scrub it with a stiff bristle
brush and rinse as necessary.

I do this to my front carpet and the piece between the
seats as needed, usually right after someone spills a
"biggie" drink on the front floor.

The carpet ends up looking like new.
