If the man wants a press, he should get that press. I've seen presses with a removable quick disconnect hydraulic pump that can be handy for many other things. These pumps come in manual lever type and electric and are nice to have. If you go to equipment auctions you can get a your moneys worth real quick. The press accessories are very important and are in most cases as expensive as the press but are a 'Throw in" when you buy at equipment sales. My brother sold a combination vertical mill, automatic feed with the collets, blocks, chucks, clamps, mills, tapered bits and his accessories were worth more than the press. Go for it.
