I have recently bought back a Vanagon (-86) that I previously owned. When I first time had it, the engine was a 2.1 fuel injection. The person I bought it from told me that he had the engine replaced, but did not know what type of engine (not a car person).

 

Can anyone help me identifying the engine? Is there a type/engine number of the engine?
