That's the dead giveaway if the translation is correct. Why would VW make such a contraption if they already have a simple and inexpensive way to install a 2-person bench? Welded in metal wall is much cheaper than what is pictured in the auction. Not to mention it is what VW already has in production.

What the auction item looks like to me is a seemingly well done "homemade" attachment system.
