Mike, my man, start at the beginning.  Pull the oil pressure switch on the
left side of the engine case and plug in a GOOD mechanical pressure gauge.
Only then will you know if you are dealing with merely a false indication or
a real pain-in-the-ass.  I've seen things as minor as a chafed wire cause the
oil pressure light to come on intermittently and, on the other hand, I've
seen queefed out main bearings light the light.  Regardless of what is
causing it, you have no Idea where you stand until you get an accurate
reading of the oil pressure.
