Volks,

In case you missed it ...

Coyote / Ron Lussier is organizing a Southern Calif Campout on April 4th thru April 6th at Montaņa de Oro State Park near Los Osos, CA.

Los Osos is just south of Morro Bay off US 1 (Pacific Coast Highway.

I'm currently in Los Osos and will scout out a plan b Camp Ground in case Montaņa de Oro State is full.

However ..... Right now ... Mid week there are only 8-10 campers for 50 sites.

I'm sure it will get a little busier this weekend ... But think there is still a very good chance we can find room.

My current plan is to leave Denver on Sunday March 30th and head straight to Montaņa de Oro. Baring and unforeseen problems I should be there Wednesday April 2nd or Thursday April 3rd.

On Friday at noon, check in time .. I and anyone else that has arrived by then, could reserve any sites needed.

So I would encourage you to go to Coyote's Yahoo Poll and sign up.

Stay tuned for further emails on plan b.

Montaņa de Oro car camping sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Montaņa de Oro is located at the end of Pecho Road

near Los Osos, California. From Highway 101, take the Los Osos Valley Road Exit just south of San Luis Obispo, CA. Drive approximately 12 miles on this road until you reach the Ranger Headquarters and Visitor Center, adjacent to Spooner's Cove.

The campground provides 50 campsites for tents and trailers. There's tables, fire pits, drinking water, and primitive toilets nearby. There are no showers.

Happy Trails,

Larry Chase
