Well, I don't know if I had that much weight in there but it must have been close. I was more impressed with the capacity and my packing ability. I play in a band and managed to fit all of the following in my 85' GL with the middle seat still in: 1 - 5 piece drum set including all stands and cymbals 4 - guitars in cases 2 - light racks fully loaded with lights 2 - 18" PA speaker cabinets 2 - 15" PA speaker cabinets 4 - Wedge style floor monitors 1 - 24 channel mixing board 1 - Large PA equipment rack (this thing weighs like 200lbs alone) 7 - Microphone stands 1 - 100 ft. PA snake 3 - Rubber made medium size storage containers 1 - saxophone case 1- small suitcase 1 - fog machine 3 - Guitar/Bass amps 2 - Guitar/Bass speaker cabinets And myself - barely. I have also on another occasion fit 8 or 9 very cold, drunk, wet canoers! I love my bus!!!!! Jeff Lincoln 85' GL |
