Here are a couple Links to conversion sites. http://members.citynet.net/bloss/vw/poptop/index.html http://members.shaw.ca/stuartblack/vwprojec.htm -----------------snip------------------ Here is another one for the pictures cause its in french. I haven worked on the written how-to yet, sorry: then you go on the menu and under the title "Le projet" you clic on "Quoi? Comment?" and you will see a grey vanagon with a hole on its roof... This is my transplant project. After looking for a adventurwagen high roof section for 2 years on the east coast, I gave up and went for the pop-top. Anyway, the roof was painted from the gutters up. But the easiest way to go (for a body shop) is to cut at the window pillars. Less welding. I did it by cutting a big hole on the roof because the raingutters from my donor van was way too rusty. There was no way I was getting that cancer to my van. I would NOT do a pop-top transplant without the upper bed. Cause if you ever HAVE to sell your van without a upper bed, NOBODY is interested in a half-ass pop-top! Sorry, you gotta go all the way. If you have questions, feel free to ask...
