Thanks sincerely to all who replied, I'm off to VW for front axle spacers. I neglected to say that all eight CV joints were replaced at that time, in the interest of longevity, and uniform wear. Milo's Law of Uniform Stupidity would indicate that the RH axle is also lacking the required spacer, and the long bolts are in the rear axles (outboard sides of course). Yoose pays yo' money and yoose takes yo' chance. Thanks for the Help, Dave |
