Dear List Members: Do I have a whammy here! My 83.5 van will not start when it is warm. Cold, no problem. Warm, nothing. Cranks but will not fire. I started to notice that it has been running rich, almost like the choke is always on. Now, it has started this game of not starting. When it fails to start, I do notice a strong fuel odor outside the vehicle, but cannot find evidence of leaking. When it does start, it runs fine but rich for as long as I do not shut off the ignition. Any thoughts? Starter? Fuel pump relay? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Jim |
