I've seen a whole hour of the Pumpkin Chunking contest on a cable channel. Some of those guys use a 20" pipe, force a pumpkin down the barrel and ignite butane to fire the pumpkin. There is a VW web site that has some pictures of a VW Bus that was the target. It never got hit but it got splattered good. They had some catapults like used on Northern Exposure to sling that Piano and they bring them on 50 foot flatbed trailers. Really quite extensive hobby for that one time a year event. I think they tie the Pumpkin Chunkin around a Tractor Pull or other big spec-tater event. Oops is it Potato or Potatoe?
